A team of senior operators, no dashboard theater
About
, plainly.
Dandy Strategies is a team of senior operators. No junior account managers, no handoffs, no quarterly slide about how things might go.

Senior Lead Marketer & Founder
Matt Slusarenko
, growth strategist.
Twenty years specializing in marketing and product for regulated and platform-sensitive categories — a lifestyle ecommerce brand where new revenue lines grew to 30% of total profit on his watch, global product for one of the internet’s highest-trafficked live-streaming platforms, and years of compliance-heavy work in HIV/PrEP access and LGBTQ+ media reaching 10 million monthly readers.
The instinct carried straight into Dandy Strategies: paid media that clears policy review, Klaviyo built around LTV, and reporting run on AI so answers arrive in hours instead of at quarter close.
The work is deliberately unglamorous: strategy first, then only the channels that have a reason to exist. It’s built for brands where compliance and platform policy are part of the strategy, not an afterthought.
Matt, before Dandy
Grew a lifestyle ecommerce brand’s new revenue lines to 30% of total profit — while running a $4–5M marketing budget and a 23-person team.
Ran global product for one of the internet’s highest-trafficked live-streaming platforms — leading cross-functional teams across four continents.
Spent a decade in LGBTQ+ media and HIV/PrEP-adjacent health marketing — compliance-heavy, high-stakes, zero tolerance for sloppy messaging.
Then built Dandy Strategies to bring that same specialization to any brand navigating regulated or platform-sensitive marketing.

Senior Marketing Communications & Copywriting
Jess Dickerson
, savvy wordsmith.
An eleven-year run through newsrooms, agencies, and one of the internet’s biggest content operations — sharpening copy for HuffPost’s Black Voices vertical, running the desk as News Editor at Slant News, and editing food and culture coverage at Spoon University before moving into brand and fintech copywriting at Qapital and Artemis. Three years as a Branded Content Editor at Yahoo Creative Studios put her copy in front of some of the largest audiences on the internet; a stint in strategic marketing consulting after that rounded things out, from single lines of copy to whole campaigns.
At Dandy Strategies, that means copy that reads like it was written by someone who’s actually run a newsroom on deadline — clear, on-voice, and built to survive an editor’s pen, whether that’s hers or a client’s compliance team.
The work is word by word: headlines that earn the click, emails that get opened, and a brand voice that doesn’t wobble from channel to channel.
Jess, before Dandy
